The Climate Project India needs your help to create a peoples version of ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ for India. In order to do this we are launching an all-India competition to offer you a chance to help us, and potentially win Rs.1 lakh in prize money! |
| We are seeking India-centric presentation material on the challenges and solutions to global warming. Entries should be no longer than three slides (PowerPoint or Keynote) or three minutes in video footage. They will be judged on the basis of content (topical, accurate and revealing) and presentation (clear and visually captivating). |
| 1st Prize for each category will be awarded Rs. 1 lakh in prize money! Especially accomplished slides will be forwarded to Mr. Gore’s office and may even be used by him in the future. |
| Runner-up prizes will include a copy of ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ by Mr. Gore, along with the knowledge that your slides are being used by network of climate change in spreading this critical message. |
| There are four categories for entries: |

- Examples of the impact of climate change in India
Include data which relates a change due to global warming.
Offer details of the consequences of this change.
- Practical solutions that are applicable in India
Back these up with scientific data.
Provide examples of appropriate stakeholders to take on these measures.
Explain the potential of this solution.
- The economics of climate change
Offer reasons why solutions can be profitable.
Explain the impact of climate change on India’s economy and growth.
- A video on any of the above three categories. Should be no longer than 3 minutes.

Deadline for entries is AUGUST 31, 2008
The entries will be judged by panel of professionals and experts in scientific and economic fields. |

- Entries should not infringe upon copyright laws and must be your own creation or they will be disqualified.
- Where facts and figures have been quoted please provide references of source.
- By entering this competition you give TCP India a free perpetual license to use your material.
- Excluding TCP India employees, all members of the public are free to enter, and we will accept a maximum three entries per person.
- Please ensure files are no greater than 4MB in total. For large video files please send CD's to following address.
